11 Quick Tips For Launching a New Business

11 Quick Tips For Launching a New Business Ive always had an entrepreneurial spirit; in fact, Ive encouraged that go-for-it spirit into my kids- my tween daughter thought of, launched and is successfully running her own business. I love offering my two cents when it comes to launching a new business- Ive made my mistakes, have learned from them, and am now enjoying seeing Woombie, my brainchild, flourish. Many mompreneurs dont know how to get started, and theres a lot of un-obvious steps you need to take when getting going. Here are my 11 tips for kicking things off smart, savvy and successfully. Launching A New Business 1. Find a Need Usually this comes from a personal experience. For example, one of my babies simply wouldnt sleep, and after trying nearly every swaddle on the market, I knew there was a need for something better. I literally took to my sewing machine, creating the first ever Woombie prototype, and guess what- my newborn slept snuggled like a champ. Determining a need comes first- if you find use for it, likely someone else will, as well. 2. Check Patents Next, make sure the idea doesnt already exist. Conduct a patent search using a patent attorney. Another good idea is thoroughly surfing Amazon to see if like items exist, and if they do, how yours would be uniquely different. 3. Patent your Product If you believe in it, do things right. Get the patent. Its a process, and one that costs money, but it will protect your business in the long run. 4. Start Sourcing Manufacturers Truth be told, I couldnt sew millions of Woombies. You have to do some due diligence when it comes to bringing your idea to life. Seek manufacturers- in other words- companies who can make your product in bulk. 5. Seek Where it can be Made Want it make in the US? China? These are decisions youll have to make, and have to look into. This might mean taking a trip overseas 6. Devise a Business Plan Before signing on any dotted line, make sure you have your plan in tact. Put together an outline on how you foresee things panning out. Be detailed. Be thorough. Make sure to include timeline and when you want to achieve certain things. 7. Get Funding Yep, it takes money, and likely, lots of it. Seek investors, do presentations, run Kickstarter campaigns really, anything that will get you some backing and validation. Have a rich uncle? Family makes good investors, too. ?? 8. Research The Market Whats trending? Whats the latest designs, colors, etc? Make sure your product design resonates with the current market. Take polls- social media is a great place to get peoples opinions. (Yellow versus green; dots versus stripes, etc.) 9. Place that first Purchase Order Take a leap of faith and place an order. You can do it! Doesnt have to be a big order, but it will definitely give you a confidence boost as a business owner. See your dreams come to life! 10. Create your Website Make it pretty. Make it pop. And make it simple. Hire a designer to help make a logo- something catchy and cool. You can always source contractors for more affordable pricing, rather than big ad companies. This is also a good time think about a PR agency to help get your word out. 11. Soar! Get ready to get busy! Things might take some time, but if youve taken the correct steps, you should be ready to fly. Market yourself. Be a shameless self promoter. Dont give up. Anticipate negative reviews and have tough skin. Enjoy the ride, and welcome to entrepreneurship. 3 Ways Mobile Content Can Help Your Personal Brand - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

3 Ways Mobile Content Can Help Your Personal Brand - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career When building a personal brand content is key to increased visibility online. To achieve this it’s not only important to create compelling articles that attract an audience, but to also tailor them for mobile users. More than ever your audience is using their smart device to find information, do research, and make purchases, and a well executed post will help your articles to reach even farther. With content that can be viewed on both a computer and mobile device a personal brand can tap into a much larger audience in their market. This will take just some minor adjustments to your copy and headline with the use of catchy phrases and images or videos. How can you effectively create content to build your brand on mobile? One way is to update your website to be quickly responsive to smart devices, where your articles can be seen quickly and easily. But you do not have to spend a lot of your budget to do this. Website builders like WordPress, Weebly, Wix, and more have mobile-friendly designs and templates ready to go. (My personal favorite is WordPress.) Being aware of what your market is desiring and is attracted to will help your personal brand establish itself as an authority on mobile. How to publish great mobile content Here are three (3) ways you can start reaching a larger audience: • Create a variety of content Keep in mind that text is often overlooked, and it’s important to grab the reader’s attention as quickly as possible. Using professional images and videos will help your articles stand out and be noticed. • Encourage loyal subscribers It’s just as important to have a prominent optin box on a computer view of your website as it is on mobile. Your email service provider and/or a webmaster can help your brand create mobile-friendly designs that encourage people to subscribe. • Pay attention to mobile design While upgrading your website to be mobile-friendly do a quick check on smart devices to be sure that the look of your brand is recognizable and consistent. This should also be similar to what viewers are seeing on all of your social media channels. As mobile continues to grow in popularity, it is more important than ever to tap into this large market, and to make your personal brand stand out. Content that is optimized well for smart phones and tablets will attract more leads, and double your subscriber list.

10 Career Planning Ideas for A Career in Real Estate in The Digital Age CareerMetis.com

10 Career Planning Ideas for A Career in Real Estate in The Digital Age â€" CareerMetis.com Getting into the real estate business can still be a lucrative way to earn a living and achieve financial stability. While digital tools have changed the way that buying processes work, it will not make them obsolete.?However, your career development strategy may need to evolve as technology continues to do the same. What are some career planning steps that you can take to keep up in the real estate industry that is changing rapidly?1) Embracing TechnologyevalThese days, you have to be familiar with basic technology such as computers and the Internet. You will also need to become familiar with social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.Depending on your networking goals, you may also want to be on sites such as LinkedIn and Pinterest.Pinterest and Instagram are great for showing pictures of homes that you want to sell or helping clients learn more about what their dream home may look like. Twitter and Facebook are perfect for building a following and communicati ng with those people regularly. While you won’t sell to everyone on that list, it provides a forum for you to show that you are an expert in your field.2) Be InvolvedNo matter how much technology changes the home buying and selling process, property buyers and sellers still need a buyer’s agent to represent them until the transaction closes. This is because they may not know the rules and the laws surrounding buying or selling a home or what it takes to get financed.Staying involved and attuned to the needs of your clients will make you a trusted source that will have staying power in your field.3) Continue Your EducationYou can never have too much real estate training. Whether you decide to go back to school for an advanced degree or decide to gain an additional certification, you can only help your career prospects by continuing your real estate education.evalIt will also show clients that you aren’t afraid to learn something new and that you are able to adapt to meet their c hanging needs.4) Always Be AvailableIn the digital age, you should never be too busy, too tired or too involved with something else to be available to your clients. Even if you just take a moment to reply to a text message or a message on social media, you never know when you will find a lucrative new client just because you took a minute to answer a question.?When working with a client who is paying you to represent him or her, it should be your sole focus to meet their needs even if you have to give up on some of your own.5) Don’t Be Afraid to Take on Clients at All Price PointsYou should never turn down a client just because the commission check isn’t as big as you want it to be. The person who is buying a $100,000 house today may want to buy a $1 million house in the future.evalThat person may also know others who need help with their real estate search and would love to send them your way.?If you are new, you should never risk sullying your reputation by thinking that you a re too good to turn down a client. Even if you have a full client list, it never hurts to have a pipeline started in case of business slows down a bit.6) Collaboration Can Win You New BusinessThere are times when you may not be able to close a sale on your own. This means that you may need to contact another agent in your area or someone else who you have a good relationship with. While this may mean that you lose a portion of your commission, it also means that you help your customer find what he or she needs.?Remember, your reputation is your ability to earn in the future, so make sure that you put your clients first if you want their repeat business.7) Build Your Own BrandDon’t forget to stop and build your own brand by maintaining your own website or blog. What do you want to be known for?For instance, you could specialize in first-time buyers or those who are looking for vacation rentals. By branding yourself appropriately, you tell potential clients about yourself in a more s uccinct manner.?Showing what you can do or what you have done is always easier and more effective than just talking about what you may be able to do.8) Marketing Properties is Your Job Now TooDon’t think that you can just list a property and that it will sell quickly. While people may be able to find a property online or may drive by a property and develop an interest in it, this may not be enough to generate offers and close a sale. You will need to list the house on Facebook, Twitter and other networks to cast as wide of a net as possible.eval?Holding open houses is another great way to market a property and generate some buzz for it. If you aren’t talking up property whenever you get the chance, you are doing a disservice to yourself as well as to your client.9) Start an Affiliate ProgramA great way to generate referrals is to start an affiliate program and give a portion of your commission to the person who gave you the referral. This is a surefire way to keep those leads co ming in on a regular basis. If a client has a lot of people who are looking for a home, knowing that they may be entitled to $200 or more can give them extra motivation to send that client your way.?While you can limit how many referrals that you will pay for, an unlimited program is ideal, and you can accept referrals in person, online or however else is easiest for you.10) Be Familiar With All Housing Programs and Loan TypesFinding a house is easy. Helping a client find financing can be a difficult and complex step. While a real estate agent doesn’t handle the finance portion of the transaction, he or sheevalshould know about as many different loan programs as possible. This can make it easier to find your client a mortgage lender or broker that best fits their needs and move one step closer to finishing the transaction. Even if your client doesn’t necessarily need help with finding a lender or getting a loan, having this knowledge only makes you more effective as a real estate or buyer’s agent and as a professional in the field. In today’s economy, it isn’t enough that you know how to get into the property market. Once you are there, you need to know how to market a property, market yourself and prove that you have what it takes to be a resource to a buyer or a seller. In a digital era, you need to be comfortable with technology and comfortable dealing with people at the same time. If you can fulfill both of these criteria, you may find that you will have a long and successful career in the real estate industry.

Why Hiring A Professional Resume Writing Service Is Important

Why Hiring A Professional Resume Writing Service Is ImportantProfessional resume writing services in Singapore are doing a great job of putting their stamp on the job market in Singapore. While most of us know that the government of Singapore works hard to streamline business and development, one thing that many people do not realize is that there are many non-governmental organizations out there that have just as much impact on the work force of the city state. Thus, hiring a resume writing service in Singapore can be just as important as anything else that they do.There are companies out there that hire professionals to write a resume for every single applicant who applies for a job at one of the many Singapore government agencies. This includes job openings at the police force, army, prison, immigration, and immigration services, among other branches of the government. In fact, all of these agencies employ a different set of people to write resumes for the different positions that they have open. What does it take to get hired by one of these companies as a professional resume writing? First of all, one must have a work history that shows that they have had plenty of work experience in the field. Being familiar with the laws and regulations of the country is also important. Also, one must have excellent interpersonal skills and able to convey their thoughts in an effective manner.Once one has all of these traits, they should go about writing a resume that is relatively short but still conveys their thoughts clearly and concisely on a single page. The major mistake that some people make is that they put too much information on their resume and end up making it difficult to read. Ideally, you should only include information that is relevant to the position that you are applying for.One thing that many people overlook when writing a paper copy is to properly use the right type of font. By using the right type of font, it will help to make the document more profe ssional and appealing to the reader. Proper use of font will also help to draw attention to certain parts of the document or perhaps help to show specific information that is not so easy to understand. Overall, using the right type of font will help to make your resume seem more professional.Another thing that many people do not understand is the importance of the font. It has nothing to do with the actual words themselves. Rather, the font helps to make the information stand out and make it easier to read. Good fonts are available online and will make the process much easier.Of course, even if you are able to write your own resume, one must remember that it is just a paper document. It is up to the person to ensure that it is a professional one and not something that the employer would find offensive. So, be sure to make changes to your resume only after you have already sent it in.Professional resume writing services in Singapore to ensure that their clients are given an official looking document that is full of professional words. It helps to make the resume appear more professional and also lets the reader see the work history that one has had.
